These
pages were designed by Jarl de Boer:
I have lived in
Northern California since 1949.
I've been fascinated by
these drive-through trees since my
first drive through the
Wawona Tree in late summer of that year.
This page lists the trees, attractions, and the towns
located along the
Redwood Highway. Printed out, it
can be used as a "travelogue" which you can follow
as you
travel along US 101 in a northbound direction from the San
Francisco area..
If you enter the region southbound, just read from the bottom up.

She has lived in the immediate area for many years, and her latest three books
about the Highway and it's towns and attractions in Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte Counties
are profusely illustrated with old photographs and postcard images, some from my collection,
but many many others which are of great historical interest.
