The Town of Miranda on the Redwood Highway

The Town of Miranda is located on the southern leg of the "Avenue of the Giants" section of the Redwood Highway in Humboldt County. It is about 12 miles north of Garberville and about 6 miles north of the exit on U.S. 101 for the Avenue.

The Forest of Arden resort was located about 1½ miles south of town.

From Miranda north you will be driving in Humboldt Redwoods State Park for about 25 miles - until the Avenue of the Giants rejoins U.S. 101 a little north of Pepperwood. the A.o.G travels through multiple groves of redwoods and it is a trip not to be missed. The faster and heavier traffic stays on Freeway 101, and you can take things in at leisure.
