The Devoy Grove
near Piercy on the Redwood Highway

The Devoy Grove, named after Henry Devoy, was located between Piercy and the Humboldt County line and about 11 miles south of Garberville.

After 1923, Devoy Grove was used for tourist activities such as camping, cabins, a store and dining. That use continued until the late 1950s.

Devoy Grove was logged out completely around 1966.

The site of the Grove is located off the old road, now bypassed by the freeway.

I would be very happy to hear more from anyone with further information and postcard images!
