The Maj. I.C. Hendricks Tree
in Coolidge Park on the Redwood Highway

The Maj. I.C. Hendricks Tree was located In Coolidge Park, near Leggett and just a little south of the junction of US 101 and SSR 1. It still stands, but was renamed as the Chandelier Tree at about the same time that Coolidge Park was renamed Underwood Park @1938. It is accessible from the old Redwood Highway which was bypassed by the freeway.

As the Chandelier Tree it serves as the southernmost drive-through tree on the
Redwood Highway.

I would be very happy to hear more from anyone with further information and postcard images!
