Smith River, by the Redwood Highway

The Smith River flows alongside State Route 199, the Redwood Highway, in Del Norte County for about 35 miles before it ends at the Pacific Ocean near the Oregon border.

The stretch where it flows through a shallow rocky canyon very near the road is one of the more scenic areas along the road.

I would be very happy to hear more from anyone with further information or postcard images!
